1965 Chevrolet C10 custom cab shortbed stepside Big Back window truck for sale.
Aptly Named “Sweet Pea” The truck just finished a mild frame off restoration. This is our first stepside c10 and we decided to pay an homage to the way the factory did things without going crazy on it. We wanted the truck to scream the 60’s and have a stock look but just a bit cooler. So no major bod mods, crazy wheels, just classic 60’s Chevy pick up.
350 4 bolt main SBC. Aluminum heads, small cam, aluminum intake, Holley Carb long tube headers, dual exhaust, electronic ignition, new plugs and wires, aluminum radiator, Rebuilt TH350 Automatic transmission, small stall convertor, New fuel system including lines and tank, Power steering, Power brakes with disc in front and drum in rear, new power brake booster and master cylinder, new brake lines front to rear, to rear. Front suspension has been all rebuilt and the frame with it’s components have all been painted.
The truck was stripped down, and repainted this unique green color you see. There is not a spec of rust on the truck and the frame is so clean you can eat off it. New tires and 15″ American racing wheels. Truck is lowered correctly with a 3/4 lowering kit complete with new springs, rear notch and new shocks. New oak wood bed floor with chrome strips. All exterior chrome has been replaced (mirrors, bumpers, side trim, emblems, taillight buckets, etc.). We replaced all the glass with green tinted glass to complete the retro look. Truck also has all new weather striping and window seals.
We wanted to make the truck look original and found a near perfect factory vinyl seat as well as a rubber floormat. We refurbished the original gauges, put in a tilt column and found a cool retro steering wheel to complete the old school look. The truck has all new GM heater components and NO AC.
Driving experience and personality:
Truck runs and drives great. Turns heads everywhere so be prepared. Truck has maybe 50 miles on it since it was redone. With the cam, longtubes and exhaust, it’s a bit on the rowdy side, but to me it sounds perfect. It still has a couple rattles here and there(normal for a 57 year old truck) and the paint is a good driver quality job. This truck is a joy to drive and transports you back in time to 65.
