“Colonel Mustard” Frame off build,1950 Chevy 3100 3 window Resto Mod/ Patina Paradise/ Shop truck pickup.
Colonel Mustard was found in Oklahoma dry as a bone with some of the coolest natural patina we have seen. He was taken off the road in the early 80’s and just waiting for someone like us to come along and breathe new life into him. He is going to make the new owner super happy and we are pumped to resurrect another 70 year old truck.
This truck sports our typical LS Swapped fuel injected 5.3 V8, 4L60E Automatic transmission, cold air intake, headers, dual exhaust(did quiet mufflers on this one), BP Automotive conversion LS Wiring Harness, Ez wire new body harness, new fuel system front to back, new aluminum radiator with electric fans turned on by factory computer, complete S10 chassis swap, drop spindles, drop springs, blocks in the rear, new front disc Brakes, new brake booster, shocks, new 18/20 Coy’s polished aluminum wheels, new bed wood, new stainless strips, all new chrome bumper and grill(we couldn’t bring ourselves to ditch the rear bumper, never seen one like it before), new chrome mirrors, all new chrome emblems, all new glass, new headlights and taillights, interior is all brand new(seat cover, dolphin gauges, door panels, door seals, sound/heat deadener on the floor, headliner, carpet, paint, weatherstripping etc) Lokar floor shifter, Vintage Air AC and heat, Classic Radio with blue tooth and 4 speakers, the list go’s on an on.
Iv’e been driving this truck to work for the last week during the heatwave the south is having. The AC blows cold, the temperature stays around 200, and it get’s thumbs up wherever I go. The first question I get asked is the year, the 2nd question is when you going to paint it. So this truck is for someone who appreciates all the character and the battle scars this truck has accrued over it’s lifespan. Don’t waste your time stressing about your paint job or waxing and washing it, just get in and go……. Colonel Mustard is super low maintenance and that’s what we love about these ole Patina trucks.
