“MeanJean” This particular 1952 5 window came to us with a perfect body that had had all metal work fixed. In the process we lost whatever patina the truck originally had. So rather than paint it a glossy color, we wanted to be different and finished the truck in a satin metallic green. These old Chevy’s just look so good in green and we fell it is period correct but still custom and different enough for the builds we like to put out. The original frame was perfect on this truck so we found a 1978 donor Camaro and clipped the front end with the IFS from the Camaro and swapped in the Disc brake 10 bolt posi rear end. The result is a truck that handles like a car and offers a really nice track width and stance. We replaced all the front end components, swapped in 2″ drop spindles for the front and lowering blocks for the rear to get the stance, rolling on new 17″ American racing wheels and tires.
As usual we did a 5.3 LS swap with 4l60 automatic transmission. Shorty headers, Spectre, cold air intake, custom valve covers, custom intake cover, Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, BP performance LS engine Harness, Brand new body harness, new fuel system and tank, Champion Aluminum radiator with electric fan, power steering, power brakes, 4 wheel disc brakes, this truck handles like a sportscar not a truck it’s wild. The interior is all brand new with paint, seats, door panels, kick panels, headliner, carpet, window felts, weatherstripping, Ididit chrome tilt column, Lokar floor shifter, Dolphin Gauges, Retro sound bluetooth radio with 4 speakers, Vintage Air AC all new glass, basically everything on the inside is all new. This truck was built as a daily driver and it shows. Why drive a new truck with boring looks and styling when you can drive an old truck with all the comforts of new?
